A slower way round
Hunter Valley Horses' carriage tour trades the minibus for a horse-drawn carriage: three hours from the Wine House at 426 McDonalds Road, wine tastings at two venues and cheese and chocolate at a third. The venues depend on availability and may include Pokolbin Estate, Tamburlaine, McGuigan Wines and Sobels Wines. There is no pickup, so it suits a guest already staying nearby, and it is not suitable for people with back problems or wheelchair users.
